The unconverted person cannot help asking questions about life. Sometimes he puts his question in the form in which it is found in verse 9. ‘At the end of the day, what does a worker get out of all his toil?’ he asks. It is God himself who moves men and women to such questioning, and causes them to be in perplexity (10).
